Mt. Orofure Hiking Tour
Tour Overview
Climb to a peak with panoramic views of Noboribetsu!
Mt. Orofure sits on top of Orofure pass which is between Noboribetsu and Lake Toya. Standing at 1320m, it is the highest mountain in the Noboribetsu area and has panoramic views in all directions. The terrain varies from woodland walking to steep rocky areas and is suitable for most hikers.
The tour starts by driving from Noboribetsu to Orofure Pass. This drive is very beautiful, as we take a winding mountain road to get to the start point. We then start by hiking through woodlands until the flora changes to creeping pine. From there, we start climbing up some steep rocky areas, and then we arrive at the summit. After having lunch at the summit, we return the same way.
