We joined the Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu tour with Aiden from Nobo Tours Hokkaido and had a really nice time. Aiden was easy to get along with and made the whole morning feel relaxed and enjoyable. He shared interesting bits about the places we visited and was always happy to answer questions, but never in a way that felt overwhelming. The scenery around the lakes was beautiful, and we liked that there was enough time at each stop to look around, take photos, and simply enjoy the views without feeling rushed. Aiden also did a great job of making sure everyone was comfortable and keeping an eye on the group so nobody got left behind. Overall, it was a lovely way to see this part of Hokkaido. We're very happy we chose this tour and would happily recommend Aiden to others visiting the area. Thanks again for a great morning!Posted on Google Sven GellertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Once you hit Hokaido make sure to bring your trip to the next level and book a hiking/kajaking trip with Aiden! We went hiking Mount Tarumae together and it was a fantastic experience - it did not feel with a booked tour but more like a trip you have with friends! He is a knowledgeable guide but also fun and easy to talk to. I would recommend reaching out to him if you want to experience a fun adventure! Thanks Aiden for showing me around and make me learn more about Hokaidos nature, people and culture 🫶Posted on Google OllieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently did the Mt Usu hiking tour and had a great time. The hike is about 1.5 hours up a semi-rugged woodland trail to a stunning viewpoint of the Mt. Usu craters and Mt. Yotei in the distance, and about 1 hour back down. We spotted some wildlife on the way including a Japanese rat snake (non-venomous!) We stopped at a viewpoint over Lake Toya on the drive back, and also a visitor centre to learn more about the area. Had some good chats with Aidan along the way about nature, wildlife, photography and expat life in Japan. Highly recommended tour if you're in the area!Posted on Google Kate FitzgeraldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. best tour ever! aidan is super friendly and knowledgeable, and he goes at your pace! i did the mount uzu hike today and it was a highlight of my trip for sure, couldn’t recommend it enough! thank you aidan 😊Posted on Google Pontus WestrupTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am lucky to have found the company Nobo Tours for hiking tours on the internet. I had a fantastic experience. Together with the very knowledgeable guide Aidan, we hiked up Mount Usu in eastern Hokkiado, near Noboribetsu. The hike went through a forest that changed the higher you got on the mountain. At the top we were rewarded with a wonderful 360-degree view. Aidan explained to me in an easy-to-understand way how the volcanoes have changed the landscape. He is also well-versed in the area's flora and fauna. When we came down from the mountain, Aidan invited me on a car ride, where he showed me the beautiful nature and especially Lake Toya. Beautiful colors in the form of snow-capped mountain peaks, deep blue lakes and green forests. Aidan is personable so it felt like you were taking an excursion with a friend. I can really recommend a hiking tour with Aidan and Nobo Tours.Posted on Google Elodie Togekid MTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nous avons passé une magnifique journée grâce à Aidan, c’est un guide que nous recommandons totalement. Non seulement nous avons vu des paysages à couper le souffle, avec les explications, mais en plus Aidan était très bien préparé et parlait avec passion. Nous avons encore des étoiles dans les yeux, merci à lui !Posted on Google Samantha PradoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A long overdue review! My partner and I visited Japan in February 2026 and our snowshoeing tour with Aidan was a highlight. He is friendly, personable, and communicative. I appreciated that he checked in with our comfort level throughout the tour, making sure we felt safe and were enjoying the hike at a pace that was right for us. Aidan is also very talented! He treated us to sandwiches made with his own homemade sourdough (as a Bay Area native I was very impressed with the flavor!) and took excellently composed photos of us and the lovely landscape. I also enjoyed how Aidan's connection to and appreciation for Hokkaido came across in how he shared his own experiences and knowledge of its natural history with us. I highly recommend Nobo Tours to anyone looking for a unique, personal, and thoughtfully structured adventure.Posted on Google Masha ZemtsovaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing experience! We did two tours on separate days and both were beautiful and definitely our highlights from Hokkaido. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting in any season. Our guide, Aidan, was also very knowledgable and prepared, had all the equipment for us, as well as homemade snacks. Would definitely do this tour again!Posted on Google Jackson SaezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 10/10 very well donePosted on Google Paul AshtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The tour was incredible. We did get lucky with incredible weather - but March was a quieter time of year and the snow was packed almost 3 meters deep. It gave us a 360 degree view at the top of the mountain. Aiden was very knowledgeable, friendly, and paced the tour very well. His sandwiches are awesome and the companionship was terrific. Highly recommend the tour!!
