Lake Kuttara Kayaking Tour
Tour Overview
Kayak to a secluded beach and swim in Japan’s 2nd clearest lake!
Lake Kuttara is a secret oasis and a kayakers paradise that is situated near Noboribetsu Onsen in the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. It is renowned for its exceptionally clear water, which allows you to see up to 17m deep! Formed by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago, this caldera lake is surrounded by dense forests, rolling hills, and volcanic peaks, creating a stunning backdrop for any kayaking adventure. With no footpaths around the lake, we will be the only people there, allowing you to enjoy true wilderness!
This kayaking tour will take you around the beautiful edge of the lake where you can see turquoise blue water and lush green trees. We will then stop at one of the sandy beaches where you can relax, swim and explore the surrounding beauty. At the beach you will have a drink and a snack whilst enjoying the stunning beauty of Lake Kuttara. Lastly, we will kayak back to the start point, return gear and say goodbye.
