Cycle along Muroran’s stunning coastline!
Do you want to cycle with awesome views of the Pacific Ocean? Well, look no further, this tour is for you!
This cycling tour is a 30km loop that starts near Itanki beach and follows a small road along a spectacular coastline. The road has many ups and downs, with fantastic viewpoints along the way. As we ride, you will be able to see Muroran’s beating heart, the Nippon Steel factory to the west, and panoramic ocean views to the east. We will continue along the road and cycle through beautiful forests until we reach Hakucho bridge, a 1300m bridge crossing Muroran port. Around this time we will have something to eat and have a rest.
The last leg of the journey is relatively flat as we cycle along the harbour front where you can see various ships and boats. We will then pass next to the steel factory and back to the start point.

- Duration: 6 hours (4 hours cycling) – 9:00 Start
- Difficulty: Hard for beginners, Medium for regular cyclists
- Max participants: 2 people
- Equipment: Two bikes available:
- 510mm frame (160cm – 185cm height riders)
- 430mm frame (145cm – 160cm height riders)
- Helmets
- Clothing: Comfortable clothes for cycling. Jeans, skirts, and dresses aren’t suitable. A windproof jacket, and a thin warm layer is a good idea on a cool day.
- Food and drinks: Please bring water and money to buy food.
- Pick-up: Free pick-up and drop-off is available in Noboribetsu, Noboribetsu Onsen and Muroran.
- Payment: Cash only. Please pay at the beginning of the tour.

Schedule
9:00: Pick-up and drive to Muroran

14:00: Arrive back at start point, load up bikes and drive back

Know before you go
- This is a physically demanding activity and participants should be able to cycle a distance of 30km over hilly terrain.
- Please bring a windproof jacket.
- Tour will be either be canceled or postponed (if possible) if rain or strong wind is forecast.
- If there is an injury or the guide deems it unsafe to carry on, the tour will finish.
- Please prepare your own insurance as Nobo Tours does not have insurance for its customers.
